The New York State Fair occurs annually at the Empire Expo Center in Syracuse, NY (technically, in the Town of Geddes).  The Expo Center, built largely for the annual fair and agricultural exhibitions occupies over 375 acres of land.  "The Fair" is easily accessed via Interstate 690, Interstate 81 and the New York State Thruway.  While the Fair has existed in the state since at least 1841, it only became a permanent part of the Syracuse Landscape in 1890. ^[1] [2]
